Frequently asked questions
What people ask before getting started
What is Senstiv?
Senstiv is a mobile app for working out which foods make you feel unwell. You log your meals broken down by ingredient along with any symptoms that follow, and an artificial intelligence engine analyses that data to find correlations between specific ingredients and your reactions. It is available for iPhone on the App Store and works in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch.
How can I tell which food is making me feel unwell?
Without clinical testing, the most reliable method is keeping a food and symptom diary for several weeks and looking for repeating patterns. Reactions are often delayed, appearing between 1 and 72 hours after eating, which makes them nearly impossible to connect from memory. Senstiv automates that process: you log meals by ingredient, mark symptoms as they appear, and the AI calculates which ingredients coincide with your symptoms more often than chance would explain.
How is Senstiv different from an ordinary food diary?
A conventional food diary records dishes; Senstiv records ingredients, which is the level where reactions actually happen. It also interprets the data for you: instead of leaving you a list of entries to review by hand, it produces a report covering safe ingredients, suspect ingredients, your symptom rate and correlations that are not visible at a glance. It also factors in context such as sleep, stress and hydration to help separate food-related symptoms from other causes.
How many days of logging before I see results?
Senstiv needs at least 5 days of data to generate a statistically meaningful AI report. The more days you log and the more detailed your ingredients, the more reliable the correlations. Clear patterns usually begin to emerge between the second and fourth week of consistent logging, including the days you feel fine, which serve as a baseline.
Which symptoms can I track?
Heartburn or reflux, throat mucus, cough, sore throat, stomach pain, diarrhoea, skin rash, itchy skin, bloating and general malaise. Each symptom is recorded with an intensity level, and you can add context on sleep, stress, exercise and hydration to improve the quality of the analysis.
How much does Senstiv cost?
The subscription costs €5.99 per month in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Luxembourg. In other markets: £5.99 in the UK, $6.99 in the United States, $9.99 in Canada and Australia, $12.99 in New Zealand and R$34.90 in Brazil. The download is free and the subscription can be cancelled at any time from your App Store settings.
Is Senstiv available on Android?
For now Senstiv is available only for iPhone through the App Store. An Android version is in development and will be published on Google Play later.
Does Senstiv replace a medical diagnosis?
No. Senstiv is not a medical device and does not diagnose anything; its results do not replace assessment by a health professional. Its purpose is to document your data in a structured way and surface patterns you can take to your doctor or dietitian. The app produces downloadable reports designed precisely to be shared in consultation. For persistent or severe symptoms, see a healthcare professional.
What happens to my health data?
Data is stored encrypted and synced to the cloud so it is not lost when you switch devices. AI analysis is processed through Anthropic PBC, and the app asks for explicit consent before sending any health data for analysis. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data from within the app or from the account deletion page.
